What is morality, and where does it come from? Is it written into the fabric of the universe, or something we invent to make sense of our instincts and emotions? From animal rights to artificial intelligence, and from ancient religious thought to modern ethical theory, this event explores the roots – and the reach – of moral thinking. As the boundaries of moral concern expand, four competing thinkers come together to ask whether we are any closer to understanding how – and what it means – to be good.
